Osteopractic Physical Therapy,

The Gold Standard in Neuromusculoskeletal Care

An Osteopractor is a physical therapist, medical doctor, or doctor of osteopathic medicine that has completed an extensive, evidence-based post-graduate training program in manual therapy for the diagnosis and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions of the spine and extremities. Osteopractors have completed an rigorous training program including the Dry Needling series, Spinal Manipulation series, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Extremity Manipulation and Differential Diagnosis & Multi-Modal Management as well as passing strict written and practical exams for each to earn the Diploma in Osteopractic and be able to call themselves an Osteopractor.

Osteopractic Physical Therapy is a subspecialty in physical therapy that identifies a particular skill-set and education possessed by the treating therapist. Osteopractic physical therapy is an evidence-based highly-skilled approach to care and more accurately describes the expert level neuromusculoskeletal physical therapy services offered (rather than simply “physical therapy”). This allows the public, potential patients, and colleagues alike, to identify the appropriate practitioner of choice to most effectively treat their condition.

You can think of this like you do with physicians. When you break a bone, you look for an orthopedist, not just a general medical doctor. When your child needs medical care, you look for a pediatrician, not just a general medical doctor. Likewise, when you have neck pain, low back pain, headaches, tennis elbow, heel pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, knee osteoarthritis, plantar fasciitis, shoulder impingement, or joint pain etc., it makes sense to look for a specialist within physical therapy, that is specifically trained and has advanced post-graduate qualifications to treat neuromusculoskeletal conditions.  One of these specialties is osteopractic physical therapy.
